WHITTIER, CA - Marinello Schools of Beauty, one of the leading chain of beauty schools on the West Coast, is proud to announce the 2nd Annual High School Beauty Scholarship recognizing raw talent with $30,000, combined, in prizes. Hundreds of high schools students interested in pursuing a career in the Beauty Industry are expected to apply to this exciting program.

Marinello Schools of Beauty is committed to helping students achieve their dream to work in the exciting world of Beauty. The scholarship program is one of the many ways Marinello helps talented, creative youth jumpstart their career. The top prize is $10,000 toward tuition at any Marinello Schools of Beauty campus location! Second, third, fourth and fifth place winners will receive $5,000 each.

All high school seniors interested in pursuing rewarding careers in the Beauty Industry are encouraged to apply by visiting www.marinello.com/scholarship. Candidates must submit an essay about how they would make a difference as a professional in the Beauty Industry. Essays will be judged based on content, creativity, syntax, spelling and grammar, as well as the candidates’ ability to demonstrate that they are success-driven and enthusiastic about their future in the Beauty Industry. All essays must be post-marked by May 28, 2010. Finalists from the essay portion of the contest will be invited to participate in a skills competition. Students interested in Cosmetology or Esthetics (skin care) will showcase their talent in hairstyling and make-up application. Before and after photographs will be shot by Marinello Schools of Beauty and submitted for judging.
